Two hours later, the Nature Strip will kick off The Everest’s history of $15 million as it tries to defend its title in the world’s richest race on grass.

“It wasn’t just me, but everyone on the property group. We felt like an ambassador for Australia and New Zealand. This was off-season for racing. [in Australia] All the attention here was on him. People got up in the middle of the night to watch and it was really special.
“And Everest is now a race being talked about among coaches on the other side of the world and they are amazed at the way it’s going.”
James MacDonald, jockey for the Nature Strip, spoke about the royal family’s love of horse racing during his experience abroad.

“If he gets hit, this isn’t just a two hour flight home, it’s been a huge trip. We didn’t know where he would fit into the tap arrangement and how he would travel. I can safely say he didn’t do well in his life which led to this race. He It was incredibly good.”
The Nature Strip is partly owned by legendary All Blacks coach Steve Hansen and could boost his career earnings to more than $25 million — within Winx’s reach — if he cashes his $6.2 million first prize check on Saturday.
About 40,000 people are expected to flock to Royal Randwick for the first Everest tour without restrictions on the spread of the Corona virus since 2019.
