Some viewers of the new Netflix competition The Mole have been surprised to see a familiar face in the competition: XSET gamer Avori Henderson. A reboot of the original, The Mole is a high-stakes competition that brings together 12 players, all working together to complete challenges and add money to their prize pot. Within the group, one person is secretly playing as “the Mole” and working to sabotage the group’s prize-winning endeavors. Players try to determine who the Mole is throughout the game, and they are eliminated based on their accuracy until one is left standing. After airing from 2001-2008 on ABC and then taking a 15-year break, The Mole has found its new home on Netflix with a brand-new generation itching to pinpoint the culprit.
Like many other competition-reality stars, Avori does a lot more than meets the eye. Fans were excited to recognize Avori on Netflix’s The Mole, which emulates other competitions like The Challenge. A former pageant-queen-turned-Twitch-streamer who is currently signed with XSET, Avori has been building her following for several years. She has amassed over 500,000 followers in that time, many of which regularly tune in to her daily streams. Working as a double-agent may not be unfamiliar to Avori, who is consistently promoting multiple projects and using her platform to create new connections.
Avori Advocates for Female Gamers
Avori’s personal goal is to advocate for women in the gaming space. She has explained that as a female gamer, she faces criticism and backlash every day from working in such a male-dominated field. The toxicity she experiences on a regular basis can be difficult, but Avori does her best to keep her goals in mind and encourage other women to join the gaming space. Hopefully, with her newfound Netflix stardom, she can appear on other Netflix-based shows and her message can reach new audiences.
Avori Organized the First All-Female PUBG Tournament
Back in 2019, Avori made history by hosting the first all-female PUBG tournament. PUBG, an online battle royale game, is a favorite of many fans and streamers alike, but many of its most public players are male. Avori’s event garnered more than 150,000 live streams and raised over $10,000 for its partner organizations, such as the Children’s Miracle Network, all while supporting female gaming.
Avori Signed a Historic Deal with XSET
As an XSET gamer, Avori plays with some of the top eSports talent in the world. She is represented by the team, creates content for them, and at the time of her deal was the first female gamer from Ford Models to sign such a lucrative deal with the company. With Netflix’s perchance to make history with their shows and casting, it is no surprise to see Avori on their roster. As an XSET creator, Avori is able to reach a wider audience and have her content promoted to new viewers.
The Mole streams on Netflix with new episodes dropping on Fridays.
